Rooselvet Bears, Agnes Richardson & Muse of Poets

As I told you,,,,,,,Monica Skinner is now on my DT and she was working with my funny and unique "Rooselvet Bears Collection" to create these amazing cards,,,,,,I am falling in love with them,,,,very well done Monica,,,,,lovew the colors,,all the backgrounds,,,,and all over your creativity my friend.

I had a great day working with some of the Roosevelt Bears by Nicecrane Designs. They are fabulous, it was as if they were talking to me … telling me their little stories … and now they are walking around my house!!!!

As you can see there are four beautifully drawn images …
… especially good and easy to use for men’s cards … and here is what I made with them …

This bear looks as if he is resting after a day’s work and could easily be used for a ‘Happy Retirement’ card. He also seems to be deep in thought, hence my sentiment. He could also be used for Birthdays, Thank You, Miss You …

As you can see it is a get well soon card. He looks as if he has a bit of a hangover, maybe that last glass of wine had gone off a bit … Like all the other images he was so easy to colour in, you just follow the lines for the shading. I suppose, you might not even have to, because the shading is already within the drawing … just give it a go and experiment.

Look what I found!!! Wonder what they have been up to … hmmm

… the hard working one. Maybe he earned all that money that he then pulled out of the purse … hmmm

I turned him into a ‘Thank You’ card. This seems to be the bear caught up in house work or any other job, nevertheless he looks happy enough and seems to be enjoying himself.

Hope you enjoyed my blog today and that you got some inspiration from it. If you feel tempted, please check out the Nicecrane Designs website, there are lots of images each telling their own story.

WORKING WITH SWEET
 AGNES RICHARDSON ILLUSTRATIONS
Florence...also from my Team,,,,was working with my "Agnes Richardson CS" to create these so adraoble and unique cards,,,,OMG I am falling in love with these ones.......she is Rock.

This is my second post to show case the Nicecrane Designs Digi Images that I have been working with.
Please click on the images to see the detail and if you have any questions on how I made these cards, as always, give me a shout.

I have made embellishments for these cards using stamps and dies from my own stash.

I ran the image through an embossing folder and used a tea cup die and a tag punch (for a tea bag) just to cut parts out of the image . I was quite pleased with the effect created with the embossing folder.

I have used lots of little scrap pieces of pretty papers for this card. Just using browns and neutral colours to match in with the image.

I thought this image would be nice to make Fall Cards. I love the rich colours on this image.

If you missed my recent post, here is the Nicecrane Designs Digital sheet I have working off.
Another card using the same image and again using pretty papers and card of the colour tones as the main image.

My printer chewed the card stock up as it was feeding through and miss printed just the top of this image. Rather than waste the whole image I made a sort of leaf pelmit to cover up the printer error.

I cut out a piece of card for the pelmit and attached all of the punched out leaves to that. Way easier than trying to attach all of the little fiddly bits to the base card. I then attached my “pelmit” over the image, using foam tape so that it raised it and gives the impression that she is sitting amongst the leaves. Well, that’s what I was trying to achieve!! lol!

VINTAGE TAGS WITH MUSE OF POETS CS

And.....what about this vintage elegant and incredible Tag by Astrid Mclean?

It's not often I post in the middle of the day as most of my posts are scheduled, but by the time I had finished this tag it was too late and dark to photograph it, so for once a project straight off the press so to speak.

The image on the center of the tag is from Nicecrane's beautiful Muse of Poets sheet. I love the romantic vintage feel of these images. I printed it in black and white, cut it with one of my Spellbinder dies (Floral Ovals) and then gave it a hint of colour with Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks.

I made the background for the tag by first adding some texture with the help of embossing folders and stencils with texture paste (Tim Holtz Texture Fades and Dylusions stencil with Liquitex Ceramic Stucco). Then added colour with the help of Distress paints (Antique Linen and Weathered Wood). I stamped an ancient text stamp with Picket Fence Distress paint and then deepened the colours of my tag with a combination of the same colours of Distress Ink. I forgot to take photos of the background (well it was too dark anyway), but here are some close ups:

The Ephemera behind the lovely lady are from the Graphics Fairy. I printed them in black and white on ordinary copy paper. Crumpled them up and then coloured them with Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap again.
The big flowers I made myself from paper coloured in exactly the same way as my background. Finally I added some little flowers, a little clay heart and seam binding dyed with the same colours again, to finish it all off.

Well, hope you liked my romantic tag. Nicecrane has many gorgeous collage sheets and they are very reasonably priced!

Absolutely a Must -Have for any crafter,,,,,Thanks a million Astrid
