Adorable Kewpies Baby Cards, Steampunk Cards & Giveway by Lori

I am falling in love with the kewpie card by Kate Wiles,,,woww, woww,,,she used my lastest Kewpie Sheet and I was sure she would create a play of art:
Ah don't they scrub up well!!

Good morning to you all

Alas playtime has all but come to an end, so thought I would share with you my final card forNicecrane Designs. Some more of those lovely Kewpies

This is what I am currently doing, scrubbing up ready for those work clothes again :(

This card I made special to send over the water as a thank you

The base layer is cream the papers are from a new stack sorry name eludes me but got them from Grimsby Crafts. I used an MS edge punch, grand oval nestie scalloped and plain. Some Memory Box heart dies. Cheery Lynn wreath leaves on a strip and the Britannia flower strips small, medium and large, Finished off with those gorgeous pearls, ribbon, pearl medallion and charms from the Hobby House (link in my side bar)

Here is a close up of the image coloured in copics with a little glitter for their tiny wings.

I would like to welcome my new followers, and thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.

BUT THAT IS NOT ALL WITH MY KEWPIES

Jane from Jane`s Journal also was working with these sweet creatures and she did the following and all over so adorable Kewpie Card,,,,,to share with your.

Sunshine after the rain and some Kewpie cuties

he colour of the rose inspired me to make a new card for my Etsy shop. It is a new baby girl card to replace one I recently sold. It is also good practice for me for when our grandbaby arrives.

My Mum remembers the original Kewpies which were around in the 1930s. I also love these whimsical babies and I first saw one inked up by my blogging buddy Kate. I chose to use the girl sitting down and coloured mine up using Promarkers and Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut out the image.
I used my floral oval die to place her on. My sentiment is LOTV and I attached a cute stork charm. The little line die cut is Memory Box. The DPs are ancient, I bought them from the Craft Barn many, many years ago. The pearls are from The Hobby House. Here is my finished card and she is for sale here

What a cutie Kewpie. If you are interested in other designs, including a fab new brownie range do have a look over at the website. I also had a play with colouring another of the designs...here is a sneaky peek but you will have to wait to see the finished card ;0)

Her new coloring Kewpie Digi,,, wow, wow, woww

STEAMPUNK GIRLS AND CHEMIST

Anne was working with my "Steampunk Girls DSL " .Now on to my project! If you saw my post on the Chemist, here, then you will know how much I love the new Chemist stamp set by Tim Holtz. I also love the Steampunk Girls set of images from the wonderful Nicecrane Designs which you can find here. One of the girls looks like she is set in a Chemist's shop so this was a marriage made in heaven. for me!

The inside page has been created using the same Burlap and Splatters stencils. The book and feather stamp is from the Chemist set again and I created a Bill of Sale from a Wendy Vecchi stamp set (Art Works) which I overstamped with the chemical formula again. The books were stamped and then masked off to create the background, then coloured with Promarkers.

And here is the Steampunk Girl from the Nicecrane sheet. I think she is fabulous! She has been coloured with Promarkers and Distress Markers. The torn notebook at the top and bottom is from a die gifted to me by Jenny (I love this die!). The girl is looking quite demure but since she is purchasing arsenic, I am not so sure - I will leave it to imagination as to what she is going to use it for.........0

Just to finish off the back page of the tag booklet I used the formula stamp again and also this fabulous Wendy Vecchi (Barcode) stencil. There are so many fun images on this stencil, I can see this being one of my favourites.
A quick look at the finished tag booklet.

And enjoy watching some previous woorks with this sheet:

Welcome to the Wildflower Seed Paper Mini Event! This post is sponsored by:

The Cutting Cafe

I get to offer you a giveaway from each one and I have a giveaway, too!

How about planting hopes and dreams
and watching them grow?
This packet, that features an image from Incredible Little Girls from Nicecrane Designs (colored with Copics) and stamps from Paper Sweeties, provides strips of wildflower seed paper.

The idea is for the recipient to write hopes and dreams on the strips, plant them, and watch them grow! I think this would be a wonderful idea as a party favor or a "just because" to someone special.

Enjoy my new Sheet:
