Frehs ideas for St Valentine

I asked to Tony to work with my knitting babies so I am showeing her adroable nokitting notebook: One of the latest collection of images from Nicecrane Designs is "Fascinating Babies" and as a knitter, I just fell in love with this little crafting angel...

...and thought she was the perfect image for decorating a Knitter's note book.
Starting with a basic A5 hardback note book, I covered it with PP from the new "Sew Lovely" range by DoCraft and trimmed the spine & corners with another of the new washi tape designs from Scotch...

...the little knitting baby is adorable and to keep with the colour scheme...

...I edged the image with some of the washi tape. On the PP there are heart topped haberdashery pins and I just happened to have some heart-shaped beads in my stash that were the right colour.
The lettering is from another of the current DoCraft ranges - "Madame Payraud's"...

...and I used a Copic marker in the same aqua shade to edge the lettering.
A knitters note book has to have some knitting on it...

...I knitted a small panel which I then threaded onto cocktail sticks that I had made into mini knitting needles by sticking a couple of the beads to the top. The 'knitting' was attached to the book front using Glossy Accents.

Steampunk Page by Vicky

Vicky at my Dt also was working with this sheet to creat ethis cute and so unnusal journaling...., horayyyyy for Vicky:When I saw this prompt this week I 1st thought about doing a Steampunk page!!! With some hot air balloons... but then I realized that I didn't have a stamp with that :( So that removed this option... Then I came across a digi from Nicecrane Designs it's part of the set fascinating babies-

It was the perfect starting point!!! Then I saw that at Visible image their challenge this month is Anything goes. I had a great set of stamp that was just PERFECT for this page!!! And of course it also helps one of my new year resolution which is to use my stamps more often!!! I'm hoping that through this journalling I will get to do that.
So here's my page and remember please be kind!!!

So I started up with some watercolor paper that I sprayed with my Heidi Swapp - Tinsel and gold, my Tattered Angels - Copper, coffee shop and finally my Apple sprays. When it was dry I stamped with my Stamping up ink close to cocoa and Really rust the great feathers from Visible image! Here's a closer look at those feathers. They are part of the Free your imagination set.
Love the look. I added some stamping of sentiments as well. And some dragonfly from Unity stamp - Thankful for you set, and Suzi Blu - stampavie sentiment. The letters are from American Crafts Thickers.

Here is the awesome digi from Nicecrane design that was the start of this page.
Isn't he cute?!? Just perfect for an up up and away...

Early Valentine

Brenda is always surprising me andand this timne I asked her to create something for St. Valentín`sDay and here is her stunning work:  Internet is working so I am taking the opportunity to post a couple of cards I made for Ignacio from Nicecrane Designs using some of his new Valentine designs. They really are so pretty and have drawn out the less inky side of me to create something girly for a change.

I also want to say a big thank you to Rachel as I won her candy which is a fabulous voucher for Imagination Crafts, how lucky am I as I love their products. And as I said to her I am hoping that's an omen for later in the week, up till now I have tried to keep it all in a box but over the weekend reality dawned and I am feeling a little pessimistic about what lies ahead of me this week, but I guess what will be will be and not a lot I can do to change that.

So onto my cards, you will find links below to the Nicecrane Designes used in these two cards, along with the Spellbinders and Graphic 45 DP's which always lend themselves so well to Ignacios's design's. I made the rose on the top card is made from the same ribbon as the bow adn the flowers on the second card were cut on the Cricut.

Black and Gold with Nicecrane Designs

I am really impresed with this abslutely stunning work by Lori Hairston with my "Magical Names" Collection,,,,and all over I think she had a fabulous idea mixing these incredible colours with my vintage magical picts,,,but you can juzge by yourself,,,,,OMG love it, love it, love it,,,

Gold and black is so elegant! At first I wasn't sure gold and black were quite right for these darling images from Nicecrane Designs, but after creating this set I think they go together fine!

This new set is called Your Magical Name because you can use whatever font you want and whatever words you would like in the banners. That makes these very versatile (and they would be fun to color, as well.)

I've used some Stampin' Up supplies on these as well. The flowers are made with an awesome set of gold accented vellum. It is a lovely weight and oh, so pretty! Other Stampin' Up goodies include: Label Love Stamp Set, Artisan Label Punch, (Label Love comes as a set with the punch as well) Postcard Stamp Set, Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set, and Gold Twine.

I ran some gold paper through my Xyron to make it sticky on the back and cut a small scallop shape for the envelope seals. The envelopes are a file from Silhouette and the scallop box above is from Lori Whitlock (I elongated it a bit.)

Here's a look at the complete set of darling girls (Your Magical Name) fromNicecrane Designs:

New Year's Resolution

Anne, ws working on this Victorian Card,,,, so elegant, so stunning,,, so unique.:I try every year to make New Year Resolutions, but they don't tend to last very long so this year I am trying to be totally realistic, in making just one and then sticking to it. My idea was inspired by Claudia who asked us to use up one of our shopping sins for Our Creative Corner- well that got me started, so my one and only resolution for this year is to 'USE IT' - use all that stash that I bought and intended to use but never did....

This project, which is my Design Team piece for Nicecrane, uses some of my really beautiful and rather expensive Maja Design Vintage Autumn papers (up to now I could only stroke and then had to put them away again), flowers that I have had for several years, lace that I seem to have had forever and a die that my lovely friend Mo bought me about a year ago and has never been used until now.

Victorian Card by Anne

She is just so very beautiful! I printed the image out in black and white and then coloured her bow, dress, flowers and cheeks in pale pink with Distress Markers. They give a beautiful subtle colour on the glossy photo paper. I will add a sentiment if and when I send the card.

The papers were cut to size and distressed around the edges and lightly coloured with Spun Sugar Distress Ink. A smaller piece frames the picture and the edges have been dipped into Embossing Ink and coated with White Frantage.

The leaves were die cut from scraps of the backing paper and the flowers are a selection from my stash. The lace was edged with another piece of backing paper to create a little dimension.

The beautiful image is from Nicecrane Designs which you can purchase from HERE - Children in the Victorian Age IV CS. Ignacio sells so many wonderful images, you will be spoiled for choice!
