What about Vintage Fashion?

You know I love also vintage fashion  theme,,,so I have designed a new Vintage Bathing sheet to add your Summer Cards with a really a unique style,,,,,,here is my new "Bringing Life Vintage Bathing". You can enjoy the elegant and great work by Carole working with this Bathing Sheet:

What a fantastic Vintage Friendship Card by Carole

I have combined the portrait from Nicecrane with a bathing belle stamp from Crafty Individuals. I stamped on some ' I do like to be beside the seaside' paper from Pink Petticoat using black archival and heat embossed with clear powder, but otherwise left uncoloured.

I used my sewing machine (it is so handy that it's now on the next desk!) and stitched around the edge of the image, which I had matted and layered on to some pale turquoise card (by Tilda, left over from another project).

The pre-coloured image was die cut using a scalloped oval die by Spellbinders and inked at the edges. I inked the edges of virtually every element of this card using Rusty Hinge distress ink. I cut a rough oval shape using Tilda card and sewed around it, then mounted the image on it. I used some turquoise card, die cut with the Oval die to make a small divide on the card between the images.

To finish I embossed a piece of kraft card with the 'That Special Touch of" Rope Mask that I have been using a lot with my projects for Sam, through my Grand Calibur and then stitched around the edge. I then added the sentiment, some hessian, string, voile and a little sea shell from my California Collection (yes I really have a collection of shells brought back over the years... they don't usually get used on cards though, so this card was honoured!)

Wowwww what a colorful New Sheet:

I do Love to be Beside the Seaside!

Add a vintage look to yur craft and cards working with my lates Vintage Summer Sheets. This time a unique and great mini album by Avril,,,,,,,,,,,,with so many details,,,,,,so elegant , so cute,,,,,,,,,.she was working with my "Children at the Seaside" Sheet,,,,,,,,Enjoy watching her amazing work-(Directly from her blog).....

Hello and welcome to some dreams of warm summer days - hopefully, they won't be too long in coming, or at least that's what I was thinking when Ignacio of Nicecrane Designs asked if I would like to use his new ' Children at the Seaside' images, which you can see here.

I have made a little mini album following this Stack the Deck tutorial. My label was printed on the computer and I stamped the frame, then triple embossed with Clear EP. I did intend to collect some shells from the sea shore, but unfortunately, the weather here has been less than kind for this time of the year, so some little shells were stamped and colours and again embossed with clear. To tie in with this I also triple embossed the image of the little girl and there was no loss of clarity.

I

Iused manila envelopes for my pages and the papers were a freebie with a magazine last summer. Lots of little pockets and tags tied with scraps of red and blue ribbons.

Another Coloring Tutorial by Toni Johnson

After playing with my Inktense pencils, I wanted to see what thisNicecrane Design image looked like using alcohol ink pens. Having printed the digital image onto smooth white CS (160gsm this time) I started with some basic laying down of colour...

...the hair for both the boy and girl was coloured using TN1, GB1, GB6, GB7 pens from the Spectrum Noir range. The boy's outfit was given an all over layer of TB1 with a little TB2 on the shadows. At this point, the skin was just given a base of FS1...

...and the girl's outfit was started with DG3 on the darkest areas blending into DG2.
The coat was finished off using DG1 all over and the hat was given a straw-like colour by using EB1, EB2 and just a hint of TN7 to darken the shadows...

...whilst the skin areas were finished off using TN1, TN2, FS7 and then the FS1 again for blending.
The boy's outfit was then given a bit more depth by adding TB3 and blending back with TB2, TB1 then a touch of CR8 was used to create the red trim and IG1 was used to create the shadows on the hat and socks...

...the dustbin was coloured using BGR1, BGR2, BGR3, BGR4, BGR5 and the Blender to remove some of the colour where the light would hit on the curved surface...

...ground shadow was created using BG5.The scruffy little mutt was coloured using TN3, GB3 and some IG1 to 'dirty up' the white fur...

...and a little touch of FS7 for his tongue. The ground was given some sweeps of BG2 blended in with the BG5 of the darker shadows...

...and the general background was given a sweep over of TN1.

The alcohol pens create a very different look to the Inktense pencils.
This is just one of the images from the new digi-stamp set..

And here is the sheet
