Another card for the playground
Sally loves Nature and birds so she did this colorful and amazing bird card: After a very hectic week, I am staggering back to blogland with a final entry for Di's snippet playground challenge.
This a bit bright for a Friday night?! I loved the colours in the topper, which is another from Nicecrane designs. You can find this on the Colourful Bature Collage sheet, which I love! I found a snippet of yellow card that matched the yellow Hammer and the blue snippet was the right shade of stormy sky. To dull down the yellow a little I over stamped it with the worn paint stamp from Inkylicious in Stormy sky DI. Two more snippets to mat and layer and a snippet of ribbon too. This is my third time in the playground in a fortnight - put the flag out Miss Di! Fingers crossed that I am in with a chance of winning that water drops stamp! Thanks for looking!

A Vintage Happy Christmas
Pictures included on my new Sheet.
Vintage Christmas Card by Margreet
COLOR IT BY YOURSELF
Toni also was working with this sheet but with a different style,,,,coloring my B/ W Digita Stamp.Sitting on my work table along with my favourite pens - my Copic Ciaos. Most of the colouring has been done on the three cute little moppets getting ready to hang their stockings up for Santa...
...and most of the background has been given just a hint of colour to create a 'washed' effect.
I cut two 8.25inch squares of smooth white CS - scored 1inch in from the 'spine' edge on both pieces and then joined the two pieces together by placing DST down the spine edge...
...the front of the card was covered with a sheet of 8x8inch PP from the Craftwork Cards collection "Christmas Post" and I also punched out some of the die-cut poinsettias from the same collection. The spine had two eyelets added and some satin ribbon threaded through. The image was mounted on red textured metallic paper.I love pearls and doilies and there are always some to be found in my stash...
This is the finished card...by Toni
...which has stuck to fairly traditional colours...
...and as you can see, the embellishments give texture and depth to the card.

Autumnal Part Two (Nicecrane Designs)
Jenny was working with my new "Vintage Butterfly Cards" and she did this amazing cretion :Hi everyone and wow! Can't believe how many comments came flooding in for my last post in such a short space of time - thank you everyone. Ironing done - check, washing up done - check, lads ready and off to school - check, dog sorted - check, FB updated - check. Next on the list is my third autumnal card (as promised) this time using a lovely digital image from Nicecrane Designs as a focal point.
This one is a bit of a balance of the more minimal (well, design-wise at least!) with texture.
I kept it simple with the digital image; just some light distressing with ink and some Rennaisance Treasure Gold gilding wax on the edges. This painted image came from a wonderful set from Nicecrane Designs called Vintage Butterflies Cards.
You've seen the master board background already. This time I rubbed a touch more Rennaisance Treasure Gold gilding wax over the stencilled leaves to give them a copper glint.
Where would I be without Tim Holtz' Simple Sayings?! You never know when you are going to need an emergency card for a friend in need so it pays to have some in stock.
And finally the tattered floral flowers with copper centres, and my take on a 'rusted copper' butterfly. It's amazing what you can do with mixed embossing powder.
Do check out Ignacio's range of digital designs at Nicecrane Designs - he has something in the store to suit everyone. I'll be back later with my last minute TH tag entry (it's on the 'to do' list). Until then take care of yourselves and have a great week. Hugs, Jenny x
