I really love this one,,,,very well done Gayle.

I think we all love faeries and angels. There are two new and beautiful collage sheets now showing at NICECRANE  DESIGNS with awesome vintage images that I am sure you will enjoy. I have hand-crafted this sampler featuring one of   the images using the Basic Grey Core Impressions cardstock in a moss tone.  I have framed the artwork using a cotton  scalloped border lace and two handmade circlular mini doilies. The white paper flowers are from Martha Stewart and I have added a grunge board flourish that I have painted with white acrylic.  The embossed fabric and gemstone butterfly is by K&Co. I created the bow with a pink and white patterned organza ribbon.

Hi everyone, hope your week has been going well so far. I'm excited to share two cards & a gift tag that I made using Nicecrane Design's Flowers From Vintage Books CS.  I'm including two preview sheets that feature the floral collage sheets, my projects today are from the first collage sheet but I can't wait to work with the second one. ;-)

The possibilities are endless but for my purposes today I created cards to send to Operation Write Home. This organization collects handmade cards from crafters and sends them to areas where US troops are deployed overseas. Let's face it, there aren't any Hallmark's in the deserts of Afghanistan lol. As most of you know, my son joined the Army in April of this year and he is currently in training but will most likely be stationed overseas next year when he graduates. This organization assists  military personnel everywhere in reaching out to their loved one's with a card. If you would like more information or would like to participate in this worthy cause click here.  Here's my second card and gift tag and as you can see there are no embellishments. OWH requests that you send cards that are not dimensional so they can be mailed easily and no additional postage is required. I did include bows but they will mash flat and on the purple card I do have low profile pearls but they do not add weight or too much height so I think I'm good. Hope so! You can see why I love using these gorgeous vintage images now. They don't require a lot of fuss because they make a terrific stand alone focal point.

It is a must have for any crafter

The other day I came across a very fancy very old frame that was missing a scallop on the edge with the very low price of $2. I figured I could make something pretty, so home it went with me.

In a fit of cleaning, I set a smaller frame I had also picked up at a second hand store on top. Inspiration struck me then! ;-)

 Of course, spray paint makes just about anything better as does hot glue, a Manor House flower and a most amazing image!

How do you like the very pretty imagine in the center? Ignacio at Nicecrane Designs hooked me up and I love it! The images are so soft and adorable! .Well, that is about it for me this week! I'll be packing tomorrow and hitting the sky on Friday for Peru!

What a thrill it was to be asked by Ignacio to join the Nicecrane design team.  Didn't take me long to say yes either after I'd seen the designs. This is one of the children from the Vintage Kids DSL11 set and these images come in line drawn digis or precoloured sets.  There are six designs in this particular set and I chose #1 and coloured her with Copics.  A little bit of Glamour Dust (love that stuff!) and it's done.  The sentiment is from the Out on a Limb set by Papertrey, the paper is from Bo Bunny's Gabrielle collection and the ribbon from a monthly ribbon club selection at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Evening my gorgeousness's. I hope your all enjoying your Friday Night im still pretty rough but  have had a little play with a cutie of a image from nicecranedesigns. . with whom i was given a DT honour to work with fabulous images....loved this little girl so coloured her up and as i have friend under the weather thought shed like this her fav colour is red so that ticks a box..ori could just keep it for myself lol!!!.coloured her with pro markers and think shes turned out ok..im not really full of mojo at the moment im finding it hard concentrating on lay out and just putting a card together is definitely not happening too well  ...but  i can colour and sit ..its relaxes me....so I'm hopeful ill pick up again real soon  i do hope you might like her..sassy signing off as beds calling......ttfn many many thanks to everyone of you that takes precious time to leave a comment it reall does keep me smiling so big hugs MWAH!!!!! your the best xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
