SHOW ME  ANYTHING YOU CREATE WITH THIS CUTE KEWPIE

Born to Be Wild & Alphonse Mucha Bookmarks

You know I love children and babies,,,,so I asked  to Lori to create a card working with my "Born To be Wild Cs" and she did this stunning baby card....you can' t miss it.

Vintage baby images are just the sweetest! Well, some are a little scary, but not these from Nicecrane Designs. And it looks like I have a bare hiney again! I have to say one of the emails I most look forward to is an email from Ignacio showing all his new images. What a fun "job" it is to showcase these cuties!

Oh, I have to tell you about the paper I found at Staples. I've been looking for some gold and silver paper that I really like. This is it! It comes 8 1/2 x 11 in silver and gold. There are colors, as well, but I was interested in the metallics. I used circle dies, my silhouette, and hole punch to create gold circles for these cards.

I'm sure I could have done it all with the Silhouette, but what can I say? I like variety! Then I found that I really liked the dots random looking in placement and in size, rather than in typical alternating polka dot rows. (Not that I don't like those, too - I tend to love polkas!)

I love the vellum bands on these! I printed the sentiments centered horizontally on of a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 vellum, which gave me plenty of room to wrap it around the card. "Airing my views" came directly from this image - that's what it says (very tiny) under her. I thought that was perfect for a thank you card. So this is the "view" I printed for the inside:

DO YOU LOVE ALPHONSE MUCHA BOOKMARKS?

Catherine did this unique absolutely play of art,,,,,,working with my "Four Seasons Bookmaks ".........
I was asked to make a special card for a birthday. I often make a box to put the card in, but this time I have decided to put the card in a gift bag ! I have used one of the images of the new set "Four Seasons Bookmarks" from Nicecrane Designs. The illustrations are from A.Mucha and they are gorgeous... So first here is the card...

Recipe : Papers from K and Co - Flowers : Die from Tim Holtz - Birdcage : Die from Prickly Pear - Bird : Die from Leane Creatief - Corners : Die from Marianne Design - The borders were made using a stamp from The Waltzing Mouse.
And here is the gift bag...

And I have added a little bookmark...

BUT THAT IS NO ALL ABOUT A. MUCHA

Astrid Mclean, also was working with this amazing and colorful Bookmarks to show you these incredible and Vintage Customized Bookmarks,,,,,a must-have for any crafter:

Today I am showing three bookmarks I made with the help of wonderful images from Nicecrane Designs
After crafting and messing about with paper and paints, reading is probably my most favourite past time, and at anyone time I will always have a number of books on the go, so I'm always looking for more bookmarks.
I made some not that long ago here, but someone bought them, so I was delighted when Ignacio, Nicecranes wonderful designer created some new book marks. You can find themHERE.
The way they are designed you could just print them straight onto card, cut them out and be done with it, because they are all beautifully digitally matted already, but me being me, I wanted to play with them a bit more.
For each of them I created a couple of mats, one of plain card painted with two colours of acrylic paint with a layer of crackle glaze in between (hard to see on the photos) and one of matching card stock. I then mounted them onto craft card, which had been stamped, embossed and inked first. The embellishment on the one above was a Spellbinder die cut from thin metal send to me as a RAK by my wonderful blog friend Cathy. The piece I used for this was bright green, - I painted it with Antique Linen Distress Paint and then went over it with Juniper and Stonewashed Alcohol Inks. The central bit is a decorative brad, also dabbed a bit with the inks plus some Baroque Art gilders paste.
Number two was created in a very similar way, only this time I used a brass filigree bit at the top rubbed over with some of the Gilders Paste. The little heart at the bottom was wood, treated with Copper Mixative and Pitch Black Alcohol Inks.

And finally, Number three, very similar to number one, just different colours:

There is still a 4th image in the pack, as of course the wonderful images Nicecrane used came originally from the famous Four Seasons paintings by Alphonse Mucha, but I reckoned three bookmarks was enough for the time being.
ENJOY PLAYING WITH MY A. MUCHA BOOKMARKS
