Pin Ups, Birthday Cards, K. Greenaway & Tiny Tots Cards

New Year's resolution with Prima

My friend Kirsten,,,,love these Colorful Pin Ups,,,,so she did these amazing and all over so funny Prisma Box with card included,,,,so amazing,,,,,you can`t miss these creations..

We have a new article out at StampARTic. This time the article is New Year's resolution.

I have made a Prima inspired box with a card.
The papers are quite old, and I wanted to use some of my old stuff.

The photos are from Nicecrane Designs. Most of the flowers are from Prima. The gears are made from thin Cork boards with Tim Holtz dies. The white keys are my own design. I have added a button with the text "Do what you love" - which is a good New Year's resolution to me.

I have used similar decoration on the card and on the box. Paper from prima. Motives from Nicecrane Designs. Flowers from prima, and gears made from Cork boards.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year

And here is the sexy sheet used with so funny Pin Ups

Stunning birthday Creations,,,,by Jane

Jane at my DT did these unique creations to celebrate the 80 Birthday of her Mum so directly from her blog:On 30 November it was 80th birthdayof my Mum and I managed to pull off a surprise family birthday party. All 13 of our direct family was able to come together to celebrate. It really was a super evening and my Mum still reminisces about the fun time we all had. We had a proper party tea with jelly and ice cream and even played party games.

Here is the gorgeus Birthday Cake by Jane

I made sets of tags using my Mum's photo

And this gorgeous set from Nicecrane  Designs which is in his store here

My Mum loves fairies and this set was just perfect for the job. I printed a large and a small image together with one of my Mum's photos

I cut the fairy tags with my Sizzix tags set and my Mum's photo with my Marianne tag die and threaded them with ivory and gold ribbon. This matched the ribbon in the cake.I punched a hole through the tops of the bags and threaded the ribbon through and tied them with a bow.

I decided to put some "vintage" things inside which have been around since the 1930s; Cadbury's dairy milk chocolate bars, Lindt chocolate, ice gems and a little personal gift for each person.

As Daisy was so tiny I decided that rather than a party bag she would have a little book.

which I made some wrapping paper for and added a tag and ribbon just like the party bags.
We had such a fun party, all the cake got eaten and everyone went home smiling with a party bag.

Absolutely gorgeus Jane,,,, I am sure your Mum enjoyed these cute and
really customized gift,,,, my friend,,,,,,Happy Birthday

And that is no t all ,,,, Sarah also was working with my "Sweet Birthday Cards" :Onto my DT make, I have made a vintagey (is that a real word?) birthday card using a beautiful image from Nicecrane Designs. I have picked out the pale pink of the flowers in her hair and added lots of flowers and some pretty seam binding in a double bow. I think pre-coloured images may be the way forward for me craft-wise, think using them more will mean I can make more cards. I do love my pens but I am finding it difficult to find the time to colour :-(

Penmanships , Birthday Cards & Magical Names Creations

Vintage Wish List

I am really falling in love with this Vintage Wish List by Helene:Since Nicecrane designs is sponsoring us I used his images from the Magical Names series, with just a slight colouring of distress markers, and made a wish list for the family. Why a wish list after Christmas? Well, my plan is to have it displayed the whole year cause during the year I know lots of things I wish for, but when someone asks before Christmas it's just a blank...

VintageWish List by Helene

Can't for the life of me remember what brand the Wish List stamp set is, it's made of green rubber if that helps... :)

Working with Penmanship illustrations

Julia was working with my Vintage Penmanship Illustration sheet to create this vintge and so unnusual creation,,,,,such beautifully colored,,,,,,I am falling in lovw with this one...Horayy for Julia

Stunning Wedding Card by Julia

Enjoy this penmanship close up,,,,,,,,,it is a gorgeus colored one.

Tony,, at my DT did this really stunning Custom Diary :Ignacio over at Nicecrane Designs has continued to add new designs to his web-shop and one of the latest is the "Vintage Penmanship" collection. A lovely selection of illustrated swirls that you can add sentiments or quotes to and...

...which you can get here.I decided to cover another diary as a gift for a friend...

...the basic black diary was covered with PP from Creative Impressions and the spine and corners were decorated with the new washi tape from Scotch.I used the Penmanship swirl that contains a quill and a dove...
.

..the quill was coloured using Copic alcohol pens - I picked out colours from the washi tape - and the dove was just given a bit of shading. I inked the die-cut image with Distress inks in Antique linen & Frayed burlap. The "2014" was created using some silver peel-offs that were coloured using the same Copic shades as the quill. No fuss or flounces but an attractive, usable desk diary.

YOU CAN`T MISS THIS PENMANSHIP ILLUSTRATIONS

Birthday Card
But Tony also did this 3D Birthday Card,,,,,,so cute, so pink, so unique,,,,,,you can`t miss it: Ignacio sent this adorable set to the DT. Aren't the illustrations beautiful - such lovely artwork - and if you would like to obtain the "Sweet Birthday cards" set.....just hop over .I used the cute little miss with the rose to create this birthday card...

...with a mind to the high postal costs here in the UK, I kept it fairly flat and simple.
The base card blank was a pre-printed one that came free with a craft magazine...

...and the 3D butterflies do lay flat when in the envelope.
I rough cut the image and sentiment and attached them to the card using 3D foam...

...but only used a thin layer so not to make the card too bulky.
A quick and easy idea for a pretty birthday card...

Another Birthday Card
Curiosly Marion also was working with the smae image to create a totally different Birthday Card: The new challenge has started at het freubelstraatje and this time you had to use flowers on your card.
There are such lovely new images at Nicecrane Designs and I just had to work with this cutie. It was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the challenge.I used Prima Marketing papers for my card.

So different Birthday Card,,,, such a pesonal style by Marion

And here is the used sheet

My first......bit of crafting for 2014.(by Tony)

Really Tony was working hard,,,,,and she did her first 2014 creation.:I love pretty stationery and notebooks so I thought I would make myself a new notebook. I have had a collection of boring A5 hardback notebooks tucked away for a while and it was one of these that received the 'make-over'. This is what I put together using the new DoCrafts Papermania Capsule collection - Parisienne Blue...

...and one of the lovely images from Nicecrane Designs.

The image used is actually from the "Vintage Xmas Greeting Cards (ladies)" set of images but I think these ladies 'work' for many occasions...

...not just for Christmas. This particular lady has a slight blue tint to her so she works really well with this DoCrafts collection which consists of blues/creams/white.The collection includes PPs - I used the 8x8 pad for this project. There are also shaped journal/note cards and large paper blooms...

.

..the shades of blue are lovely and I loved the crochet trim that is also part of the collection.
This collection of images from Nicecrane is so versatile and they are perfect for using on many different occasions so don't think you would be limited to just Christmas...

+

There are new collections of images being added to the range all the time and if you would like to see how the DT have been using them, please hop on over to the Nicecrane blog to take a look.

In Times Gone By

Love these special soft colors by Tracy,,,,,,,,you are rock my friend.

Good morning blogging friends, it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenge this could be the one for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is Ribbons, Buttons &/or Bows. As Nicecrane is our sponsor this time, the team are using his images. I adore the one I chose which is Magical Names, but then again I do love vintage. His images are amazing and he has such a lot of choice. Some of his images are pre-coloured and some are lined for you to colour yourself. I chose to colour mine myself with my promarkers. And to explain with these images, the sentiment scroll is blank and you add a sentiment or a name yourself, which I liked

You can`t miss this absolutely play of art by Carole,,,,working with these sheets,,,,,,, she did a Little Women`s Concertina Card based  on Louise M. Allcott's novel, Little WomenToday's card is my Design Team project for Nicecrane Designs - if you love vintage images of all kinds, from romantic to quirky, cute and humorous you should visit this website for an exceptional choice of coloured images and digi stamps. Click on this link to check it out http://nicecranedesigns.com

For this project I chose to work with one of the latest releases 'Your Magical Name'. The files are for you to colour and add the name of your choice to the banner, either writing, stamping or digitally!

I chose four of the images and used my Sissix Accordian Die to create the card - the names I chose to use are from Louise M. Allcott's novel, Little Women, even though the ages of the girls don't match the story! With four images to work with, it seemed like a nice idea!

I coloured the girls using drawing ink: I wanted to create the effect of old hand-coloured photos where just the main image is coloured, usually in blue, green and pink hues, which really stand out. Drawing Ink is great for this effect and for colouring Vintage images in general, I love it.

I then die cut the images on to Spellbinders dies that matched the inners of the accordion die and inked the edges of the shapes.. To complete the card I added die cuts, ribbons, flourishes and paper flowers - all the details are listed below.

Here are some closed views to appreciate the stunning work

Horayyyyyyy for Carole,,,,,,you are rock

Shabby Babby

Now enjoy watching this amazing and all over layered stunning creation by Lisa Minckler with this cute collection,,,,It is a proud to count with Lisa again,,,,,,,woww,wow,wowww.......
You could blindfold me and have an expert take hold of my hands and create a shabby chic card and it STILL wouldn't turn out right. I don't know how to describe what I've created here, but the theme, or what I was hoping to achieve, was vintage shabby chic. Are there some elements there to qualify? Yep. Does it look appealing? Ummmm, maybe it's just me, but I think it looks confused. Maybe that's the randomness of the arrows I decided to place; which were symbolic of progressing from birth on, as this is a birthday card for a very special friend of mine who prevails in this genre.

Coloured sampler by Lisa Minckler a gorgeus inspirational one,,,,,,,wowww Lisa.

Thanks to Ignacio at Nicecrane Designs, I was able to color this precious little baby girl using his images from Your Magical Name II.

Well, I'm pretty pleased with the results, even though my brain can't quite figure out how to naturally design like that, so I hope it's not too confusing for you all to look at too. However, the image is sensational and that was my saving grace! All the elements you see here were also cut on the Silhouette Cameo.
