Peter Rabbit Postcards & Kewpies Cliparts

Peter Rabbit & St. Valentine

You know I am a Beatri Potter Fan,,,,ao I have received some vintage postcards and I decided to use them to create a new collage sheet,,,,. I asked to Ginny at my Dt to work with this new sheet and her is her stunning work:I hadn't decided on what images to use for my adult valentine this year until this afternoon when I received some new images from Nicecrane. Once I saw the new Peter Rabbit images , I thought that is it!! I love Betrix Potter, many happy memories of those stories as a child. I especially love her illustrations, they are just so charming. So here we have Benjamin bunny delivering mail on a snowy day, what could be more appropriate in a valentine coming from snowy Massachusetts!

Take a look to the original image used by Ginny

Absolutely a great Peter Rabbit Cards Collection by Ginny

I printed these intentionally with less ink saturation, I wanted them to look like I pulled them right out of a vintage book. I did add a little more color to Benjamin's coat for contrast.

I don't normally like cute but these are just so perfect for a valentine!

I actually have a few more cards tomorrow to get done : young adult single gals. I have some great images to show you tomorrow!

And here is my new Peter Rabbit Sheet:

And of course I asked to Lisa to work with this cute sheet,,,and here is her incredible Heart Shaped Card:It is day one of three of a countdown to love with some adorable little Kewpie Dolls from Nicecrane Designs. When I first saw these images I just knew that I had to do something with them. It took me awhile to sift through ideas. I had thought about a baby card, and then a birthday card but finally settled on some tags to hide in spots where the hubs will be able to find them on Valentine's Day. Today I'm showing you the first of the three. What do you think? Think he'll like it?

Kewpie Shaped St. Valentine Card by Lisa

Digital Image Details:
Hee, Hee, isn't this Kewpie doll just so cute??!!! Look at that little hammer he has belted to his waist. As soon as I saw him, I knew exactly the kind of sentiment I wanted to create to accompany him. He is one of 14 Kewpie Doll images available in a new stunning set from Nicecrane Designs. The great thing with this collection is that it includes both the colour version AND the black and white versions. I've used the colour version in my projects this week.

Digital Sentiment:
Created in Publisher and placed within a heart shape in the program. I added a stitched outline to the shape as well.
Embellishments: The little metallic hearts were purchased at Dollarama.
The curling ribbon is from my stash.

Digital Papers:
Once again I have relied on my wonderful new digital paper pack created by Kris B. from Imagine That Digis. That is now three projects so far this week using them! This is the sixth paper in the set I've been able to showcase. All of these awesome papers are from the digital paper pack called "Ticket to Bliss".

Thanks a million to Lisa and Julia,,,,,,,,woww, wowww

Close-ups:

Nicecrane Designs has added some lovely Valentine images to its collection and each and everyone is so sweet. that it is hard to make a choice which ones to use.I decided to use an image from this sheet:

I did not use any design papers on this box, since the image itself was so lovely it hardly needed anything more than a few bit and bops.
The heartbox is a die from Whiff of Joy.
The arrows that I stamped on the cotton are also from Whiff of Joy.
Looking forward reading your comments.

But take a look to my new sheets:

So I created something and just didn't have the energy to post :( So sorry about that. But I'm here tonight will I'm watching the olympics opening to share with you the little card that I made with the fabulous set Magical name

It's just so fabulous to use with a little sentiment of your choice!!!

So adorable and cute Magical Card vy Vicky

For this card I decided to use some papers from Spring jubilee by Pink Paislee. I think it's just perfect for the vintage look. I used some vintage buttons from my buttons and some twine. I used my wonky rectangle to cut the image and the paper under it. And I stamped a little happy b-day sentiment from my stash.

Here's a closer look at the fabulous digi that I colored with my copics.

For the love of Vintage

Astrid Maclean did a Play of Art,,,,OMG:Hello everyone, thanks so much for dropping in. This weekend I had some playtime so I decided to play with some of the wonderful designs from Nicecrane. I created a kind of accordion card, using the Tim Holtz Vintage Cabinet Card die.

I cut 3 large ones, two of them with the small cabinet card die inside to create frames, and then I used the cut outs for the end pieces as you can see from the pictures. I cut them all from chip board, then painted them with Fresco paints, first in Mud Splat, then with crackle glaze and then the top coat was Stone. When the crackle had done its magic I cut some trellises with a memory box die and glued them behind the two framed pieces. Finally I decorated them with papers from the Papermania Madame Payraud's collection. I totally love those papers. The vocal images are from the following two Nicecrane collections: Henry Hutt Women and Vintage Woman's Hats.

One of the end pieces, collaged with bits and pieces from the paper collection. I also stamped all the frames with a Stempelglede swirl stamp in Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

One of the Henry Hutt women, the roses are from the Graphics 45 Ladies' Diary collection. I inked them with some Aged Mahogany and Walnut Stain Distress Inks, to tone them down a bit. The butterfly is from the Madame Payrauds collection.

I thought this lady from the Nicecrane Vintage Woman's Hat collection, needed to take centre stage on this card. She looks so confident and happy. The other bits are mostly from the Madame Payrauds Collection again and another G45 rose.
Another Henry Hutt woman, to mirror the first one, again embellished with the G45 Lady's Diary flowers.

And the final end piece, to mirror the first panel.

And Here is the sheet used:
