RETRO CHRISTMAS CARDS
Monika have been creating Xmas cards with my funny and colorful "Retro Christmas Sheet" .How time flies, it’s Wednesday again and time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More, Challenge #59 – Addicted to CAS.
The winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to spend at their online store. Pop over tothe shop and have a look what fabulous images $20 can buy you …
… here is what I made for this week’s challenge …
… as you can see I kept my promise and went for a ‘not at all catty’ Christmas card.
I worked with the Retro Christmas ATC Collage Sheet.
Here are a few more cards I made using images from the same sheet.
As you can see I did my best to stay as true as I could to this week’s CAS challenge. These images teased me into trying my hand on a spot of decoupage … and I think it works well. The gingerbread tree, the houses and the woolly hat seem to benefit from the lift and slight shaping.
These images are great for making speedy Christmas Cards. They also need very little embellishments which makes them a good choice for making ‘postage friendly’ cards. Anyone living in the UK will know what I am talking about …

WORKING WITH BUTTERFLY TWINCHIES
Florence has just to work with my new releases "Butterfly Twinchies",,,,and she did this amazing oriental card.Time for a new challenge. This weeks challenge is Addicted to CAS. Don’t forget the challenge is also open to anyone using Nicecrane Designs Digi stamps or images.
To see full details of the challenge, the wonderful inspirational projects by the talented DT and to join in the fun please click HERE.
Here is my Cas card for this weeks challenge.
I thought this image had an oriental feel about it which made me think of those oriental sliding room dividers. Did anyone every see that really old movie Walk Dont Run? For some reason that was in my mind when I made this. Anyway, with that in mind and the bold black lines around the edge of the butterfly wings all I have done is mat and layered my image onto black card stock and added the two black strips of card. These strips are just trimmings I found under my paper trimmer…..nothing gets thrown away as you know.
Thank you to Ignacio from Nicecrane Designs for very generously sponsering this weeks challenge. Do pop over and have a look at all of NcD’s products. The images are amazing. We hope you will join in the fun again this week and we can’t wait to see your project.
I HOPE YOU ENJOY THESE NEW RELEASES,,,,MY FRIENDS...
